Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines — A successful MSC Board of Trustees Meeting for 1st Quarter of 2024 was held at CHED MIMAROPA, Diliman Quezon City on March 11, 2024 which resulted in the approval of the majority of the matters comprising the financial, academic, research and extension proposals and materials.

For the financial matters, the approved proposals and materials include Financial Status Report as of December 2023, Cash Utilization for 1st quarter 2023, PRE FY 2023, APP 2024, project award to winning bidders such as furniture and fixtures for MSC LRC, MSC Sport Complex, transportation equipment outlay, renewal of contract for janitorial services, Budget Proposal 2025, and payment of tuition and other fees.

On the other hand, the academic matters include candidates for midyear graduation, academic calendar, revised program of study for Ed.D. Curriculum and Dev. Management, additional HTEs and renewal of existing HTEs, participation of an Agriculture student in a Student Enhancement Program in Indonesia, MOA with Universitas Airlangga Indonesia, MOU with Human Ecology Institute of the Philippines, Inc.

Further, the administrative matters were composed of an addendum to MOA with Land Bank of the Philippines, designation of authorizers and makers for the availment of LBP’s “weAcces facility”, appointment of non-teaching personnel, first time professional rank candidates who did not qualify but reclassified after phase 1, application for thesis/dissertation assistance and sabbatical leave, search for 2 private sector representatives for MSC BOT.

Lastly, the research and extension matters were about the Island ReGen with UP Los Banos, internally funded research and extension proposals on licensure performance, impact of gamification, and development of an online wildlife permitting and management system in partnership with DENR-PENRO.

All of these matters taken were approved by the MSC Board of Trustees and are set to be implemented this year 2024 to complement and support all of the scheduled deliverables for the academic, administrative, and R&E departments of the college.
