Los, Baňos, Laguna, Philippines —A successful ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing of HUMEIN Philippines, Inc., College of Human Ecology – UP Los Baňos with Marinduque State College was held on March 13, 2024 at Dalcielo Silangan Rd., College, Los Banos, Laguna.
Through the immense support of MSC President, Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta to the initiative of Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé-Vice President for Research and Extension & Dr. Evangeline B. Mandia, Dean of the College of Environmental Studies to connect Marinduque State College with the Human Ecology Institute of the Philippines, Inc (HUMEIN Philippines, Inc.) – UP Los Baňos, MSC has officially signified its engagement.
HUMEIN Philippines, Inc., College of Human Ecology – UP Los Baňos is known for its mandates to enhance the human and social capital of poor communities, provide sustainable livelihoods towards poverty reduction, ensure environmental integrity, and ensure good governance.
As stipulated in the MOU, the parties are expected to develop academic and educational cooperation and promote mutual understanding through conduct of research and extension projects to promote Human Ecology; conduct of lectures, symposia, capacity-building programs; exchange of academic information and materials, and promote other academic cooperation as mutually agreed. The said partnership is expected to roll for three years and open for renewal in the succeeding years.
HUMEIN Philippines, Inc. was represented by its President, Ms. Rasmiah M. Malixi, EnP together with Asst. Prof. Ron Jay P. Dangcalan-Vice President (Internal)-HUMEIN Philippines, Inc., and Ms. Andrea Karina S. Alforte. Additionally, Ms. Yasmin C. Andal of Rotary District 3820 also graced the activity.
On the other hand, together with President Zulueta who witnessed this official partnership aside from VPRE Dr. Blasé and CES Dean Dr. Mandia was Mr. Alfredo M. Ofrecio III-Financial Services Director.
