Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — With the festive ambiance set by the MarSU Brass Band headed by Ms. Ruby Ann T. Lantita, all piled up for the flag raising ceremony together with the college officials, faculty members, non-teaching personnel and students on August 5, 2024 in front of the new Administration Building, MarSU Boac Campus.  Simultaneous opening programs were also done in the satellite campuses of MarSU in Torrijos, Sta. Cruz and Gasan, Marinduque.

Before the program commenced, the smart working and celebrity MarSU President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta announced the official opening of Academic Year 2024-2025 followed by the opening of MarSU gates for the students as a symbol of welcoming them to this new academic journey.

Mr. Nowell P. Maac-Head, Records Management Office led the prayer followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Ms. Shanna Mae Monteras led the Panunumpa sa Watawat and Ms. Elvira After the singing of Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, Ms. Elvira Mambil-Security officer led the recitation of Bagong Pilipinas pledge while Ms. Desiree Anne Sto. Domingo took the lead in the recitation of Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan.

Additionally, Ms. Lenie Z. Rodriguez-Executive Assistant cascaded the MarSU Vision and Mission while Ms. Marife R. Madla-Special Assistant recited the MarSU Core Values and Quality Policy.

On the other hand, Asst. Prof. Raoul J. Magcamit-Vice President for Academic Affairs gave a short message wishing a fruitful and engaging new academic year in Marinduque State University. He also presented the MarSU key officials.

Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta once again welcomed everyone and emphasized in his official message the importance of youth as major contributor and source of success in the country. He also reminded that the academic marks are important but our range of emotional intelligence skills with empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, and social skills would greatly lead us to a greater success.

Before finally closing the program, the MarSU Culture and Arts Unit showcased a cultural performance which indeed brought hype to the opening program.

The activity concluded with the singing of MarSU Hymn and final reminders to everyone from the host, Asst. Prof. Jholey Rose L. Lancion before going to their respective offices and classrooms.
