Manila, Philippines — MarSU officials and faculty members headed by its President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, attended the 2024 FuturesPhil Conference with the theme “Toward Sustainable Development, Innovation, and Futures Thinking on August 22-24, 2024 at the Manila Prince Hotel, Manila City which was hosted and organized by the Philippine Futures Thinking Society.
Gathering hundreds of scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and futurists, the conference tackled the futures of work, education, health, agriculture and food security, technology, and tourism.
Additionally, it also served as an avenue for knowledge exchange in addressing the challenges of today and what needs to be done through the potential scientific strategies in policy reforms for a sustainable and resilient future. FuturesPhil Conference aspires all delegates to use FT to anticipate, prepare, and navigate future and complex scenarios in driving transformational change and prudent leadership.
PDPZ together with Asso, Prof. Alfredo M. Ofrecio III presented the paper entitled “The Future of Education: Insights from Academic Leadership in Marinduque State University, Philippines with co-authors Asso. Prof. Jholey Rose L. Lancion, Ms. Desiree Anne M. Sto.Domingo, and Dr. Nikka Mae J. Adling.
Other MarSU key officials who were also present during the conference include Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé-Vice President for Research and Extension, Ms. Erma E.
