Atimonan, Quezon — Making it the first in Quezon Province, the Atimonan Book Fair is set in motion by the Atimonan Historical Society in partnership with Peport ART scheduled on August 4, 2024 at Bulwagang Balagtas, Atimonan, Quezon.

The Atimonan Book Fair aims to emphasize the significance of books and their potential to foster positive and sustainable change in Atimonan and nearby communities. It is also said to be the biggest book event in the province.

The book publishers and exhibitors for this activity include the Book Writers Club, Dogan’s Book Publishing Services, Isang Balangay Media Productions, Kahel Press, Kawangis Publishing, Kingfisher Komiks, Lampara Books, MSC Litera Club, Pandyan Bookshop Gumaca, RJP Books, Tayabas Studies Center, Southern Voices Printing Press, Vibal Group and others.

Additionally, resource persons and facilitators for the event include Dr. Xiao Chua, Genaro Gojo Cruz, Marco Antonio Regalo Rodas, Christian Andrew Cervantes, Ronald Verzo, Ruth Valorie Catabijan, Keith Chito, Dian Mancenido, Manny Camara and many more.

On the other hand, Marinduque State University is also participating in the event with its Litera Club.

This activity is in line with the celebration of the National Language Month “Buwan ng Wika” and the Atimonan Historical Society advocates the dissemination of the massive culture and history of Atimonan, Quezon while Pepot Art (Pepot Zamora Atienza) is an illustrator and children rights advocate.
