Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — The Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator Project Team extended a courtesy visit to the Office of the President, MarSU Boac, Marinduque on November 19, 2024. The team is visiting the province as technical consultants of Marinduque State University for the ongoing endeavor of MarSU Gasan Campus with DA-ACEF to establish the MarSU Fishery Technology Business Incubation and Innovation Center (MarSU FTBIIC).
The MarSU FTBIIC aims to assist the fisheries sector of Marinduque by driving innovation and entrepreneurship and promote sustainable practices that contribute to the socio-economic development of MIMAROPA. The initiative also aims to stay in line with the current industry trends, technological advancement, and the needs of various stakeholders.
The visit commenced with a formal meeting where both parties exchanged insights on their respective TBI initiatives and importance of leveraging academic resources and expertise to support budding entrepreneurs and drive economic growth.
The DMMMSU delegation, led by Dr. Angelina T. Gonzales (Vice President for Research, Development & Innovation) was warmly welcomed by MarSU counterparts headed by Atty. Crispin Francis M. Jandusay (Vice President for Admin. & Finance) representing MarSU President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta who is attending an equally important engagement. Also present were Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé (Vice President for Research & Extension), Dr. Alexander M. Pascua (MarSU FTBIIC Project Leader), Mr. Wilfredo Q. Villavicencio, Ms. Aireen M. Sumibcay and Ms. Kathlyn Macilisa from the MarSU Gasan Campus.
Together with Dr. Gonzales was DMMMSU delegation composed of Ms. Eden Borce (DATBI Project Manager), Ms. Ivory Laroco, Ms. Erlinda Balancio, Mr. Jovani Tadije, Mr. Rafael Benabese, and Mr. Hector Fontanilla Jr.
