Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — The Marinduque State University Board of Regents welcomed Private Sector Representative Carina J. Motol during the 2nd Regular Board Meeting held on November 21, 2024 at the MarSU Board Room, Boac Campus. PSR Carina J. Motol “Caren” took her oath of office before the MarSU BOR Chair, CHED Commissioner Hon. Marita R. Canapi, University President, Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta, Faculty Regent, Dr. Joy R. Profugo, and Student Regent, Mr. Nolasco P. Revilla.

It was also witnessed virtually by Atty. Jocelia Bighani C. Sipin, representative of Cong. Lord Allan Jay. Q. Velasco. Regent Motol is a highly successful entrepreneur and businesswoman. She established BIOMEDICA nationwide and has a hotel and restaurant business in Marinduque.

Through her extensive network of local and international medical institutions, as well as her Marinduque-based tourism-related industries (including, but not limited to, the hotel and restaurant sector), she hopes to support the MarSU student internship program.

Regent Motol’s desire to give back to MarSU stems from her deep connection to the institution as an alumna. Regent Motol shall serve for a term of two (2) years commencing from November 21, 2024 to November 20, 2026.
