Odiongan, Romblon, Philippines — In a celebration of academic excellence and leadership, Marinduque State University (MarSU) President, Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta, took center stage as the keynote speaker at the Romblon State University’s (RSU) Gawad Parangal 2024 held on November 25, 2024 at the University Quadrangle, Romblon State University, Odiongan, Romblon.

The Gawad Parangal is RSU’s annual awards ceremony, dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions of students, faculty, and staff. This year, the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Zulueta, whose inspiring words set the tone for an evening of celebration and reflection.

He remarked, “Tonight, as we commemorate the recipients, I see my own mentors and heroes in them—people who persist through obstacles to raise others. Each one of you is proof that excellence isn’t only about accomplishing it’s about persevering.”

PDPZ added, “Allow me to share a guiding principle that has influenced my leadership as President of Marinduque State University: ‘Progress in Education is Never a Solo Act.”

PDPZ also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the RSU University President, Dr. Merian C. Mani and the whole administration of RSU. The participation of Dr. Zulueta in the Gawad ng Parangal not only highlighted the strong bond between MarSU and RSU but also underscored the shared commitment to excellence in education.

As the evening concluded, both universities reaffirmed their dedication to fostering academic excellence and leadership. The event served as a reminder of the power of education to transform lives and communities, and the importance of recognizing and celebrating those who contribute to its success.
